New Year, Same You! A workshop via Zoom(recording available)

‘If you can think of times in your life that you’ve treated people with extraordinary decency and love, and pure uninterested concern, just because they were valuable as human beings. The ability to do that with ourselves. To treat ourselves the way we would treat a really good, precious friend. Or a tiny child of ours that we absolutely loved more than life itself. And I think it’s probably possible to achieve that. I think part of the job we’re here for is to learn how to do this’ David Foster Wallace

New year, same you! Time to befriend yourself with some heart nourishing practice and physically enlivening flow. Using mindfulness meditation techniques and yoga asana, this workshop will be an opportunity to meet yourself where you are and where you might be. All levels welcome.

Wilderness: Breathing books with Phlox.

I’d always been a bit suspicious about the booky bits of festivals. I’d always imagined they would be kind of an afterthought, done to give a boozy weekender a veneer of cultural respectability. Then Phlox invited me to speak at the literary tent that they ran at last year’s Wilderness and I am now a total convert. It was a beautifully put together roster of brilliant writers talking to large audiences in a stunning tented bookshop. They are incredible at what they do and I am so thrilled they’ve invited me back this year.

Timber festival

Timber festival returns to the National Forest from 7-9 July 2023.

I’ll be offering some family yoga and there’s so much more to look forward to at this special festival.

Step into an incredible weekend festival of celebration, debate and reflection in the National Forest. Timber invites you to stand up and be counted as we rethink our relationship with trees and forests.

Gather with artists, musicians and writers, as they respond and react to the forest in bold and exhilarating ways.

Activists and makers will invite you to join them in a joyous celebration of nature. The rebels and the unexpected from the worlds of music, art, performance and wellbeing will play, provoke and inspire as we change the world.

With a talks programme including Raynor Winn and Simon Armitage, alongside a wellness offering of woodland saunas, as well as workshops, theatre, and woodland craft - come and immerse yourself in a weekend that will inspire the mind and restore the body.
