Naomi Annand is the founder and owner of yoga studio Yoga on the Lane in Dalston, east London.  She teaches compassion-based Vinyasa with a meditative and restorative feel, drawing on her twenty years of experience working as a teacher all over the world. Before she started teaching, she was a dancer in the Royal Ballet Company, performing at the Opera House in Covent Garden, and touring to Japan, China, Australia and the US. After her career ended prematurely due to injury, it was yoga that scooped her up and gave her a new vocation. Since she started teaching in 2002, she has designed and delivered five 200hr Yoga Alliance-accredited teacher trainings, and she helped created the specialist kids' yoga training, Yoga Club, which has already brought yoga to more than a thousand children in schools across the country. Her books Yoga: A Manual for Life and Yoga for Motherhood, are both published by Bloomsbury. She lives in Hackney with her husband and two children.
